RightPatient® Named as Finalist in CHIME’s National Patient Identification Challenge Concept Blitz Round

Selection Validates RightPatient Cloud-Based Platform as Viable Solution to Patient Recognition Problem

Atlanta, GA (June 3, 2016) – On Wednesday, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) announced the finalists for their National Patient Identification Challenge Concept Blitz Round. More than 113 innovators from around the globe submitted proposals that were reviewed by an independent panel of judges who narrowed the Concept Blitz Round submissions to 23 semi-finalists and 8 finalists. RightPatient® is proud to share that they were selected as a Concept Blitz Round finalist, demonstrating the viability of its platform as a solution to the serious patient identification problem that continues to afflict the U.S. healthcare system. This issue has sparked worldwide interest in brainstorming practical solutions that can be realistically implemented with minimal disruption to healthcare IT systems, as mentioned in CHIME’s official news release on the Challenge.

The challenge now moves into the Final Innovation Round, which is open from June 1 to November 10. Innovators must register by July 12 to be eligible for the ultimate $1 million prize. Innovators were not required to participate in the Concept Blitz Round in order to enter Final Innovation Round.
