Since its founding in 1889, our private, not-for-profit facility has grown into a 335 bed, acute care center that is consistently recognized nationally for overall clinical excellence. The hospital has ranked among the top 5% in the nation for clinical excellence and patient safety for the past 7 consecutive years and was Northeast Florida’s first hospital to receive the ANCC Magnet hospital award. Most recently, the hospital earned accreditation from the Society of Chest Pain Centers, the Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Care Centers, Center of Excellence Designation for its Bariatric Surgery Center, and national accreditation for total knee and total hip replacement surgery.
